Kaitlyn is the heart and soul behind Venture With Dogs Pet Photography, located in Lisbon, Maine. She combines her deep love for dogs with a natural talent for capturing authentic, timeless moments through photography. Most recently, she has been voted one of Maine's "Best of the Best" pet photographers in 2024 (four years in a row!), and has won not just one, but SEVEN international awards at the 2024 International Pet Photographers Competition. With an approachable style and years of experience, Kaitlyn creates relaxed, enjoyable sessions that highlight the unique connection you share with your dog. Inspired by the beauty of Maine's landscapes, every session is tailored to showcase your dog’s personality in a way that feels genuine and memorable. Venture with Dogs is more than just photography, it’s about celebrating your adventures together and creating lasting images you’ll treasure for years to come.

All sessions include an online gallery that you can view from the comfort of your home. Within the portal you can pick a collection, download images, or order luxury prints and print products sourced from around the globe.

We meet at the tailored location in the evening for dreamy lighting. With my doggie-centered approach your dogs comfort, happiness, and safety is my top priority. I come packed with treats, toys, and special tricks to get your dog to look at the camera. On or off leash, your dog will explore into guided "poses". Every session includes lifestyle and fine art portraits, action shots, doggie and me (yes you can join!) and anything in between.
THE BIG DAY!

Once your date is booked, you’ll be able to choose the perfect location for your session. You’ll receive a curated list of hand-picked, dog-friendly spots tailored to your preferences. Each location is chosen with your dog in mind; providing a comfortable, low-stress environment where they can relax and just be themselves.

Adventure sessions are just that - an adventure! We will venture out to customized location, perhaps a beautiful field with wild flowers, the mountain tops looking over the ridges, the sandy or rocky coast, or a different picturesque landscape.

A special discounted opportunity tailor-made for our cherished seniors and beloved pets nearing the end of their journey. These sessions are crafted with utmost care, exclusively for dogs aged 10 and above, those at the end of life, or facing terminal illness. Age exemptions for XL breeds.

Kaitlyn was so great to work with. I had never done a photoshoot with my dog before, so I wasn’t sure how it would go. Kaitlyn was excellent at her job, having treats on hand, knowing all the silly noises that gets a dogs attention and also understanding breaks were needed to play and bounce around. Additionally, her editing work is phenomenal. She captures a fantastic picture to start and then enhances it to really pop and bring the picture to life.

Are you worried your dog won't "sit still"?
I will never require your dog to sit still for an hour+ or required to be off leash for their session. All the hundreds of dogs I have photographed have been very well-loved pets with their own fun personalities.
